About Us

The church was established in 1805 by Rev. Benjamin Lin, a missionary from Pennsylvania, who also settled several other churches in the area. During the last 215+ years we have been through several buildings, but it has never been about the buildings, it has always been about the people. People that had a vision to reach the community of Lynn Camp for Jesus Christ. That vision hasn’t changed. Our vision statement is, “Taking the Heart of the Cross to the Heart of the Community”

We truly believe that is the love and compassion that Jesus showed for all men were to meet people where they are then all people can be changed. As Jesus said in John 12:32, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” No matter where you are today, we will meet you where you are, we will love you and we will show you that same compassion that Jesus showed us when He found us.

In 2021 our challenge is to continue the “Pray for 100” initiative, by “Taking New Ground” (You can find the sermon on the podcast if you would like to listen). We hope to see God move in 100 ways in the next year.Through the “Gospel to Every Home program we are setting out to put the Word of God into 1400 homes within our community this year. We believe that in order to reach the community we have to be part of the community, that starts with meeting them were they are; at their front door. We stopped asking the question, “What is God doing to advance the kingdom?” and starting asking, “What are we doing?” If you live in our area, we hope to see you soon, and if you would like to be part of something like this we could use your help to make something great possible.
